As summer draws to a close, most of us are left wondering what the new season will bring. If you’re a parent or guardian with younger children, this year’s back-to-school planning has its own fair share of unknowns. College students, you’re also facing many obstacles. As you try to prepare your living space and enjoy your new surroundings, you might be feeling slight trepidation about whether you’ll get to stay the entire semester or get sent back home early. Parents of college students, this potential situation might have you worried, too.
For everyone else, not knowing whether or not we’ll head back to the office or work from home for the remainder of the year leaves us anxious. In fact, just trying to make plans for the months ahead is becoming increasingly difficult, as we try to imagine what the future looks like.
The point we’re making is that even after 5 months, we’re still facing a world of uncertainties, which can feel overwhelming or confining, as we try to move forward.
At The Calli Institute, we recognize this struggle, which is why we wanted to provide our current and future clients with some level of certainty, so you feel informed and empowered to make the best decisions for you and your mental health.
While we miss seeing you here in the office, we want to ensure the continued safety of our clients and our staff. After careful discussion with our team, and in light of Minnesota’s state requirements regarding social distancing and COVID-19, we have decided to continue offering Telehealth services for the foreseeable future.
Transition isn’t easy. It takes time, energy, and a lot of patience. That’s why we wanted to reach out to thank you all for your incredible flexibility and adaptability, as we made the decision back in March to transition our services from in-person to a virtual platform.
We will continue to offer our services through Telehealth, which means we will not be providing in-person therapy sessions or counseling at this time.
Many of you have expressed your appreciation for the simplicity, convenience, and ability to access care via Telehealth. We thank you for the feedback and will continue to ensure every service we offer provides you the support, guidance, and care you deserve!
Though we all recognize the importance and health benefits of social distancing during a pandemic, we also understand how this “new normal” can make you feel isolated from your friends and loved ones. Feeling alone during this pandemic isn’t uncommon. As humans, it’s only natural for us to miss social interactions, making plans for the weekend, or just going out to catch a movie with some close friends.
If you’re feeling isolated, we’re here to help. We want to offer you support and encouragement and to remain connected with you through these difficult times. And a big part of this is understanding that Telehealth may not be the best option for everyone. And that’s okay!
If you feel that Telehealth isn’t right for you, please reach out to your provider to discuss your options. We are happy to work with you to come up with a solution that will work for all of us and keep us safe, while you receive the type of support you need.
